My Highly Caffeinated Thought: A domestic thriller which plays with how far you will go to protect the ones you love.
FOR BETTER AND WORSE is a tense and addictive read. By creating a realistic situation for her characters’ to react to, the author is able to manipulate relationships and perceptions. The plot will have you constantly questioning what is right and wrong even if you know the act is illegal.
This is the second book I have read by Margot Hunt and let me tell you, she is getting better and better. The writing is solid and the storyline is tight. I love how she captures the grittier side of human nature while still having the reader identify and understand the core of why something is happening. This push and pull between the characters are what adds to the tension. It is the way all involved act and reacts to what is put in front of them which will keep you going. Who will break? Who will come clean? What is really going on with Natalie and Will Clarke?
The twists, turns, and deceptions contained in this book will have you flipping through pages like crazy. I was completely engrossed until the end. For lovers for domestic thrillers, this is a good one for you. The personal relationships and character-driven story are only heightened by the suspense.

On their first date back in law school, Natalie and Will Clarke bonded over drinks, dinner and whether they could get away with murder. Now married, they’ll put the latter to the test when an unchecked danger in their community places their son in jeopardy. Working as a criminal defense attorney, Nat refuses to rely on the broken legal system to keep her family safe. She knows that if you want justice…you have to get it yourself.
Shocked to discover Nat’s taken matters into her own hands, Will has no choice but to dirty his, also. His family is in way too deep to back down now. He’s just not sure he recognizes the woman he married. Nat’s always been fiercely protective, but never this ruthless or calculating. With the police poking holes in their airtight plan, what will be the first to fall apart: their scandalous secret—or their marriage?
