THE OTHER TWIN by L. V. Hay

My Highly Caffeinated Thought: A page turning thriller packed with family secrets and a look into discovering one’s true self.
THE OTHER TWIN is not your average thriller. Of course, it has the pulse pounding suspense as well as the twist and turns that we all love, but there is a strong social message carried throughout the story that makes this book even better. This book will force the reader to think beyond who a character is on face value and see into who their true identity is. The author really does play with who we think people are and what they know. This is were the thrills and chills come from for me.
By creating a story that is driven by such deeply flawed, emotional, and questioning characters, the author has given us a completely unique and addictive read. I followed Poppy and the rest down a rabbit hold to a place that I never saw coming. The beauty in THE OTHER TWIN is that Hay was not afraid to hit on powerful issues that face many in today's world. She lays it all out there, but never once, as the reader, did I feel that she was exploiting an issue just for the book. Her characters are real and I loved every page that I got to spend with them.
Lucy V. Hay…you now have one more fan. I cannot wait to see what you give us next.

When India falls to her death from a bridge over a railway, her sister Poppy returns home to Brighton for the first time in years. Unconvinced by official explanations, Poppy begins her own investigation into India’s death. But the deeper she digs, the closer she comes to uncovering deeply buried secrets. Could Matthew Temple, the boyfriend she abandoned, be involved? And what of his powerful and wealthy parents, and his twin sister, Ana? Enter the mysterious and ethereal Jenny: the girl Poppy discovers after hacking into India’s laptop. What is exactly is she hiding, and what did India find out about her? Taking the reader on a breathless ride through the winding lanes of Brighton, into its vibrant party scene and inside the homes of its well-heeled families, The Other Twin is a startling and up-to-the-minute thriller about the social-media world, where resentments and accusations are played out online, where identities are made and remade, and where there is no such thing as truth.
